Wes Mendes threw six scoreless innings, and Florida State baseball's bats got hot as the Seminoles run-ruled Notre Dame, 11-0, on Friday, April 17. Mendes went deep into his start at Dick Howser Stadium, recording seven strikeouts, two walks issued, and three hits allowed. He worked around trouble on the basepaths in the third and fifth innings, with Notre Dame runners getting into scoring position in both frames, but unable to scratch a run across.

Nathan Cmeyla knocked in three runs on two hits, a single and a double, and he finished the night 3-for-4 with his three RBI from the designated hitter spot. He was the biggest spark of offense for the Seminoles until the sixth inning, when FSU scored seven runs, including a pair of home runs. After an RBI single from Cmeyla, John Stuetzer hit his third home run in the last week, and eighth of the season, in the sixth inning.

He finished the game 1-for-4 with three RBI on his home run. 416 feet and 107 mph off the bat for John Stuetzer, and it's a 3-run shot to center! šŸš€ pic.
