Stewart averaged 4.

2 points, 2. 6 rebounds and 1. 1 assists per game as a junior this season with the Huskies.

He missed eight games, including the first weekend of the NCAA tournament, due to a knee injury. He returned to play some key minutes off the bench in the final two weekends of the NCAA tournament, including three pints in seven minutes in the Final Four win over Illinois. While Stewart’s starting spot eventually got taken over by Braylon Mullins, the junior was an invaluable part of this year’s team.

Stewart’s size allowed him to guard multiple positions on defense, and his microwave scoring ability could carry the offense for short stretches, especially in transition. Stewart was a mainstay in most of UConn’s most analytically-efficient lineups and likely enters the portal in search of a starting spot and more consistent minutes. After turning down some quality transfer opportunities last year to stay in Storrs, Stewart should have plenty of high major options for his final season of college ball.
