But as the Kentucky Wildcats , UConn Huskies and Alabama Crimson Tide circle, it appears one may be ahead of the field. Freeman visited Lexington on April 14 and 15 and seemingly had a good trip. Then on Friday, Freeman canceled his visit to Storrs, according to UConn Report .
That would, on paper, point to good news for Kentucky, although nothing is official yet. It also leaves curiosity as to whether Alabama is still in the running and just UConn is out, or whether Freeman has narrowed things down altogether. Freeman is a former five-star recruit who missed a lot of the last two seasons with injuries.
When he played in 2025-26 for the Orange, he averaged 16. 5 points and 7. 2 rebounds per game.
