Namibia v Scotland T20 series Scotland 157-8 (20 overs): Jarvis 32*, McMullen 27; Brassell 3-26 Nambia 138-7 (20 overs): Erasmus 47; Jones 4-22 Scotland won by 19 runs Scorecard Scotland ensured victory in their T20 series against Namibia thanks to a superb bowling display from seamer Mackenzie Jones. The 21-year-old Essex bowler took four wickets for 22 runs in his four overs as Scotland comfortably defended their total of 157-8. The Scots now have an unassailable 2-0 lead before Saturday's third and final match.
The hosts won the toss in Windhoek and having stuck Scotland in to bat, got off to an ideal start as Ruben Trumpelmann dismissed opener Finlay McCreath for a first-ball duck. The Scots failed to have any partnership greater than 30 in their innings, but cameos from Brandon McMullen (27), debutant wicketkeeper Owen Gould (24) and Jack Jarvis (32*) helped them post a competitive total. With the ball, Jarvis and Safyaan Sharif were both expensive, but the introduction of Jones swung the momentum in Scotland's favour.
He removed Jan Frylinck and Nicol Loftie-Eaton before George Munsey ran out Louren Steenkamp to leave Namibia 57-3. Left-arm spinner Olly Davidson also bowled superbly, conceding a measly 14 runs from his four overs, and pinned Alex Volschenk lbw for Scotland's fourth wicket. Captain Gerhard Erasmus batted nicely for his 47, but when he spliced a Jones bouncer to Munsey, Namibia's hopes of victory went with him and Scotland closed out the game for a comfortable win.
