UH softball team loses in extra innings

The Hawaii softball team lost to San Diego 4-3 in nine innings Thursday in San Diego. The Toreros (17-24) won the nonconference matchup when Seleny Chavez scored on Kaitlyn Wynia’s ground ball to shortstop. Maycen Gibbs batted 3-for-4 with a homer, two runs and two RBIs for the Rainbow Wahine (20-18).
