Tyre West meets Matt Edwards before draft, potential edge rusher for Jaguars
Tyre West, Tennessee’s edge rusher, had a virtual meeting with Matt Edwards, the Jaguars’ defensive line coach, before the 2026 NFL draft. West has played just over 835 career snaps across four seasons, primarily as a pass-rusher. He boasts 34 pressures and six sacks in his last two campaigns.
West ranks 108th among edge rushers with a PFF pass-rush productivity metric of 279th on the consensus big board. The Jaguars are currently short-handed at defensive end, with Josh Hines-Allen, Travon Walker, BJ Green, and Danny Striggow under contract. A more consistent presence in the secondary could benefit from West’s ability to pressure the pocket.
