'False information': Vinod Kambli's wife Andrea Hewitt hits back at health rumours

NEW DELHI: Videos, photos and posts about Vinod Kambli’s deteriorating health have been circulating widely on social media. Kambli, who played 17 Tests and 104 ODIs for India, has been in the news over his health for some time. He has been seen attending functions and events, often walking with support.
However, there were also reports suggesting that the former cricketer was recovering. The issue resurfaced recently when his friend Marcus Couto claimed that Kambli has a “clot in his brain” affecting his memory. Kambli’s wife Andrea Hewitt, however, dismissed these claims and called them false, stating that misinformation was being spread about his health.
"By God's grace, Vinod is fine. I don't know who is spreading false information about his health," Andrea told India Today. Her statement came after Couto suggested that Kambli was dealing with a serious health issue.
"Ever since he was hospitalised in Thane about 18 months ago, Kambli has had a clot in his brain. His memory is not good. He remembers things and then forgets about them.
