Manchester City starter ruled out vs Arsenal with injury Ruben Dias has been ruled out of Manchester City’s game against Arsenal this weekend due to injury, according to a report. Josko Gvardiol also remains absent, and doubts remain over the fitness of John Stones .

Of course, City signed Marc Guehi in the January transfer window and have Abdukodir Khusanov and Nathan Ake available as well, so they’ll still easily be able to field a natural centre-back pairing on Sunday. It wasn’t initially clear exactly how long Dias would miss, so there was some hope he could return in time for the Premier League clash.

But that’s no longer expected to be the case. Nico O’Reilly was also a doubt for the Arsenal game as it stands, having picked up a hamstring problem last week, but Pep Guardiola has since confirmed the left-back is “fine”. They’re not expected to be missing any midfielders, wingers, or forwards for the Arsenal game, and their goalkeepers are all fit and available too. It’s only at centre-back that there might be a few absentees, and it’s nothing the team haven’t already been dealing with in recent weeks.
