Rüdiger set to sign one-year extension with Real Madrid -report
According to Matteo Moretto.
Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger has reached an agreement with the club and will almost certainly sign a one-year contract extension this summer, according to a report from Matteo Moretto. Rüdiger appeared to be on his way out of the club but it looks like he will end up staying in the Spanish capital after his solid performances during the 2026-27 season. Still, Real Madrid could look to sign a defender to replace David Alaba.
The Austrian center-back is going to leave the club and Los Blancos will need a quality replacement for depth purposes knowing that Eder Militao and Rüdiger himself might need to be managed carefully throughout the season. All things considered, Real Madrid will be making significant changes to the roster after their second consecutive season without a major trophy. Rüdiger will not be part of that change and will stay in the Spanish capital for an extra year.
