Report: Barcelona plan to extend contract with Flick until 2028
Barcelona plan to extend the contract of coach Hansi Flick, the Mundo Deportivo newspaper said on Friday. According to the report, Barcelona will offer Flick a deal until June 2028 with an option to extend it for another year.

His current contract runs until June 2027. The report said that there's already a verbal agreement between both parties but Flick doesn't think the timing is right to discuss his new contract. According to the newspaper, Flick, 61, believes Barcelona will be the last club in his career and he also doesn't want to commit to a long-term contract.
Flick was signed by Barça in July 2024 and won the La Liga trophy last season. They're currently on the verge of successfully defending their title.
