Awaiting an opponent for Friday's matchup, defensive specialist Dillon Brooks revealed why he wanted a matchup with Golden State.

After the Phoenix Suns fell to the Portland Trail Blazers Tuesday night, they watched the Warriors face the Clippers, awaiting their next opponent. Speaking to the media Thursday ahead of Friday's elimination game, defensive specialist Dillon Brooks revealed which team he was hoping to face and why. When asked if it mattered, Brooks had a simple response.

"I think it matters to some people like myself. I would like to see the Warriors," said Brooks. Brooks elaborated further, providing three reasons why.

"Steph and Draymond. And Steve Kerr. " With Brooks leading the league in technical fouls during the 2025-26 season, he and Draymond Green (third in technical fouls) are sure to exchange words in Friday's win-or-go-home matchup.
