Harper Creek's Kennedy Halverson is Bronson Battle Creek Athlete of the Week for April 11
Harper Creek's Kennedy Halverson helped the Beavers softball team win the Merry Jo Tavernier Tournament in Three Rivers.
BATTLE CREEK — The fans have spoken. The winner of the latest Bronson Battle Creek/Enquirer Athlete of the Week fan poll is Kennedy Halverson of the Harper Creek softball team. Fans got behind Halverson to help her edge finalists Yoshua McDonald, Karson Lewis and Mylee Grimm.
Halverson received 81 percent of the vote by the 5 p. m. Wednesday deadline.
Thanks to her fans, she is being featured in this Enquirer Athlete of the Week Sunday spotlight. Athlete of the Week - Kennedy Halverson Kennedy Halverson helped Harper Creek to a big week on the softball diamond. Harper Creek swept Kalamazoo Central in a doubleheader with Halverson going 3-for-3 with a home run in the opener.
She added six RBI and another home run in the second game. Over the weekend, she helped Harper Creek win Merry Jo Tavernier Tournament in Three Rivers. Halverson had three hits and a home run in the championship game win over Portage Central.
