However, Garnacho has managed only a goal and four assists in 21 league appearances. Despite arriving at Stamford Bridge this summer for £40 million, his time with the West London outfit may already be coming to an end. Garnacho turned heads recently when he removed all Chelsea-linked posts from his TikTok and posted videos of Manchester United edits, saying they wanted him back.

While the social media brouhaha is not thought to have done any major damage, his penchant for moves like this is unlikely to go down well with the Chelsea hierarchy. However, selling Garnacho will be a premature move from Chelsea. Moving him on this quickly feels reactive and irrational, especially given bigger issues in the squad.

Jamie Gittens, another left-sided signing brought in over the summer, has been far more underwhelming. One goal and five assists in 27 appearances is a poor return, and he has struggled to impose himself in games. Garnacho’s biggest flaw is his inconsistency in 1-v-1 situations, but Gittens has hardly fared better.
