Duke Extends Manny Diaz
God news for Duke football

Oh, yeah: Midnight Mike. Mike Elko. He was replaced by Manny Diaz, and so far, Diaz has taken Duke to two bowl championships and a dramatic, pulse-pounding ACC championship as well.
His Duke record is 18-9, and on Thursday, Diaz was rewarded with a 5-year extension that runs through 2031. And unlike Elko, Diaz seems to want to be at Duke, and seems to grok the whole experience. Like most Duke fans, and especially those of us who recall back-to-back zero-win seasons, we’re thrilled with the job Diaz has done.
We’re also thrilled that he wants to stay.
