They will open their series against the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday at 7:30 PM. The game will mark their first time hosting a playoff game since April 24, 2011. Game two will come two nights later, and both will be televised on NESN and ESPN.
The Bruins will host game three on Thursday, the game marks their first playoff home game since the Florida Panthers knocked them out of the 2024 semifinals. They missed the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs but returned after a one-year absence. The Bruins posted a 45-27-10 record with 100 points.
They finished as the first wild card in the Eastern Conference. The season series went in favor of Boston, who won three of the four games (3-1-0) – two of the wins were in October; two of the wins were in a 3-on-3 overtime. The Sabres won the Atlantic Division for the first time since 2010, finishing with a 50-23-9 record and 109 points.
