The Pittsburgh Steelers remain a fascinating watch as the NFL Draft edges closer, with the franchise looking to hit the ground running under Mike McCarthy.
Of course, whether or not the franchise can is down to what Aaron Rodgers decides to do. With a week until the draft, we should be getting a decision from Rodgers soon. In the meantime, there have been many mock drafts that have the Steelers taking Alabama's Ty Simpson in the first-round to give McCarthy another young quarterback to develop.
And for ESPN's Ben Solak, he thinks Simpson is a good idea, but he offered up another name Pittsburgh should look at, too. "I've advocated for the Steelers to take Ty Simpson at No. 21 to prepare for life after Aaron Rodgers (if he's back), but that looks increasingly unlikely," Solak writes .
"Still, a developmental quarterback would serve their long-term roster health. LSU's Garrett Nussmeier is the son of Doug Nussmeier, who worked for Mike McCarthy in Dallas. He's a nice scheme fit with some preexisting familiarity.
