Bemidji State's Kasper Magnussen will transfer to UND

Apr. 16—GRAND FORKS — UND has added another piece to the 2026-27 roster. Bemidji State top-line left winger Kasper Magnussen gave a verbal commitment to UND during his on-campus visit Thursday, according to a source.
Magnussen had a breakout junior season, tallying 10 goals and 31 points in 36 games. He finished second at Bemidji State in scoring this season. The 6-foot, 200-pound forward from Fredrikstad, Norway, has done most of his goal-scoring on the power play.
In the last two seasons, 12 of his 17 goals have come with the man advantage — most of them thanks to his one-timer. He also plays with an edge and brings physicality, allowing him to play up or down a lineup. Magnussen will be the second Norwegian to play at UND.
