S. Women’s National Team boss Emma Hayes has explained what fans can expect from the 31-year-old. Heaps, who is seeing out the remainder of her contract with French giants OL Lyonnes before joining the Summit this summer, is currently with Hayes’ USWNT in Colorado ahead of their third and final April friendly against Japan on Friday.

“She lives and breathes those behaviors, and we've sat down this week in her own 360 meetings to discuss how to get ready for that and what support she needs for that, and I think it will bring another level out of her, and that's what I think we're all excited about, is that this is another challenge in your career, embrace it and let's get everything right. “Because [Trinity Rodman] always makes fun of me when I say this, I'm like, ‘Come in and raise the roof,’ and Trin always says, ‘There aren't any roofs in the stadiums Emma,’ but you get the point. I think she will lift the league and the sport up in this country by returning home.
