Red Storm run away from Sentinels

TICONDEROGA — Saranac Lake hit the road for its season opening track meet against Ticonderoga and came out with wins in both meets. All four Ti runners of the 4x800 and 4x400 relay teams — Cameron Bennett, James Defanco, Cooper Moore and Ollie Porter — finished with multiple wins. Bennett won the triple jump, DeFranco took home the long jump and Moore won the 800.

The Red Storm’s Grady Tetro tripled on the day with wins in the 100, 200 and was on the 4x100. On the girls’ side, Saranac Lake cruised to the victory behind five athletes winning two events. Anika Wamsganz was on the 4x100 relay team and won the 200.

Meadow Nashette was on the 4x800 relay and won the 800. Ally Bourgeois was the fastest in the 400 and on the 4x400 relay team. Raina Baumann and Jovie Schenk were on the 4x400 with Bourgeois and were both on the 4x100 relay team that won.
