Hopefully, things turn around for Weathers.

Strange stat shows Yankees’ Ryan Weathers has the worst luck in New York right now originally appeared on The Sporting News . Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here . It was another tough performance for the New York Yankees on Tuesday night, dropping Game 2 of a four-game set against the Los Angeles Angels , 7-1.

We can go down the list of what went wrong for the Yankees in the outing, but Ryan Weathers allowing back-to-back-to-back home runs in the top of the first certainly didn't get the game going on the right foot. The Yankees' offense wasn't able to do much throughout the entirety of the contest, only scoring one run on a sac fly from Ben Rice in the eighth inning. Weirdly enough, while the Yankees didn't play well in that game, there are some strange things going on when Weathers is on the mound.

“In another oddity, the Yankees have yet to score with Weathers on the mound in any of his four starts this season. Last Thursday, they dropped his outing against the A's 1-0. This time, he exited in the sixth inning trailing 3-0 before Paul Blackburn allowed two inherited runners to score on Yoán Moncada's two-run single,” Jorge Castillo of ESPN wrote .

This means that the Yankees have yet to score a run while he's in the contest. This is a very strange stat, and while I understand that the Yankees' offense hasn't exactly been great to start the season, it's a bit surprising to see them not be able to put together one run in one of his four starts.
