A new report from The i Paper has outlined that Liverpool are now the ones leading the way to sign Bournemouth's Marcos Senesi this summer. The Argentinians contract is set to expire in June and, since there's now not a chance that he's going to extend his stay with the Cherries, Liverpool have had their interest piqued. Senesi may be 29 years old by the time he becomes a Liverpool player but, with the amount of Premier League experience he has under his belt, he'd be a more than welcome arrival.
It's clear that Liverpool need to add some new defenders to their ranks in the summer otherwise they could end up even worse off than they currently find themselves. And, even though Liverpool leading the way for his transfer isn't a direct indicator that Slot's time at Anfield is coming to an end, it feels like it's the closest that the club have ever been to hiring his perfect replacement.
