Los Angeles Chargers GM Joe Hortiz completely shuts down the Quentin Johnston trade chatter.

During his pre-draft press conference, Chargers general manager Joe Hortiz shut down trade speculations surrounding wide receiver Quentin Johnston. "There's a lot of rumors out there on Twitter. And I can tell you this, I have made zero calls about Quentin, and I've had zero calls regarding Quentin," Hortiz said.

Hortiz made it clear that Johnston is not currently available for trade, despite the ongoing rumors. The Chargers have until May 1, 2026, to decide whether to exercise Johnston's fifth-year option for the 2027 season, which would be worth a fully guaranteed $18. 1 million.

Hortiz mentioned the team is still actively discussing this decision. Johnston is coming off a productive 2025 season where he recorded 51 receptions for 735 yards and eight touchdowns. This article originally appeared on Chargers Wire: Chargers' Joe Hortiz shuts down Quentin Johnston trade rumors
