The team has not only brought in several quality transfers, but also boasts an elite high school signing class. The high school class got even better on Thursday, when in-state four-star forward Chris Washington Jr.
officially committed to the Vols. Washington, who starred for Providence Christian Academy in Murfreesboro, reportedly chose Tennessee over Auburn, Ole Miss, USC, and Villanova. Washington ranks as a four-star recruit and the No.
43 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. 247Sports also has Washington as the No. 16 small forward in the country and the top overall prospect in the state of Tennessee in 2026.
