The first step will be the NHL Draft lottery, where the Canucks will hope their top-notch odds of getting the No. 1 overall pick come through. Even if that doesn't happen, they'll pick right near the top of the draft board, and they'll get a special talent.
That's just one step, though. They've got a lot more to do. Daily Faceoff's Anthony Trudeau sums up the offseason need for the Canucks broadly in a new article on Thursday: "A good, old-fashioned house cleaning.
