Pens and Flyers kicking off playoff series on Saturday night

The 2026 version of the Battle of Pennsylvania will commence on Saturday night with an 8 pm puck drop at PPG Paints Arena.

Philadelphia will host Game 3 and Game 4, along with Game 6, if necessary. Both cities are juggling numerous scheduling events as the NFL Draft is being hosted in Pittsburgh next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Meanwhile in Philadelphia, the 76ers, who share an arena with the Flyers, have home games scheduled in a playoff series next Friday and Sunday. Saturday night’s opening game of the series between the Penguins and the Flyers will air on ESPN, according to the NHL.
