Legendary Panthers QB to announce team's 2nd-round pick for 2026 draft

The Carolina Panthers will have a very special guest representing them on Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft. As announced on Thursday, former quarterback Jake Delhomme will be in attendance in Pittsburgh, Penn. next week to announce Carolina's second-round pick.

But he'd go on to piece together one heck of a career, amassing 20,975 passing yards over 11 NFL seasons. Seven of those 11 campaigns were spent in Carolina, where Delhomme threw for 19,258 yards and 120 touchdowns—both the second-most in franchise history. He also led the Panthers to their first Super Bowl appearance (2003) and is currently the only quarterback in the team's Hall of Honor.
