Mike Trout makes history at Yankee Stadium

Yahoo Sports

History doesn’t come easy at Yankee Stadium, especially for visiting players. But Mike Trout just added his name to a very exclusive list. The Los Angeles Angels superstar has now homered in three consecutive games at the new Yankee Stadium, becoming the first visiting player to do so since Miguel Cabrera accomplished the feat in 2013.

Even more impressive? Trout is just the second visiting player in MLB history ever to do it in the current Yankee Stadium era. He’s been the most dangerous hitter in the park for three straight days, silencing the crowd and taking control of games, just to see his team blow two of them late. This isn’t a list that gets crowded. Miguel Cabrera’s 2013 run has stood alone for over a decade.

Now Trout has matched it, reinforcing his place among the greatest hitters of his generation. Moments like this are reminders of just how special he is.
