Another WWE Star Sadly Adds Name To List of Soon To Retire Legends

It looks like another WWE legend is eyeing the finish line of their career in the near future. The last 12 months have seen some major send-offs by three WWE greats. In July, WCW icon Goldberg competed in a WWE ring for the last time.

In December, John Cena brought his incomparable career to a close. Then, in January, AJ Styles officially hung up his legendary boots. Oddly enough, all three were defeated by Gunther .

Yet, more could come in 2026. There has been speculation for quite some time that legendary luchador Rey Mysterio is lining up his retirement this year. Furthermore, there have been rumors that this year’s Summerslam , in Minnesota, may be headlined by Brock Lesnar’s final WWE match.

During a new interview with Chris VanVliet , Becky Lynch confirmed that her current contract with the company will be her last, and this “is the final run” of her career. Lynch signed a new contract in January of 2025, and chances are it is either a three or four-year deal.
