“The defense objects to the issuance of a subpoena and requests the court to conduct a hearing to determine if the prescription records are ‘relevant to the criminal investigation,’” Woods’ attorney, Douglas Duncan , wrote in a motion filed Wednesday, April 15, according to ESPN . “This right is admittedly not absolute should the State show the relevance of the records to its criminal investigation and thus warrant intrusion into Mr. Woods’ privacy.
” Prosecutors are requesting details on Woods’ prescriptions since January, including the number of times they were filled, the number of pills, the dosage and administration instructions, ESPN reported. They are also seeking information on warnings about driving or operating heavy machinery while on the drugs.
