Chase Briscoe nearing Chase bubble as consistency begins in 2026

Yahoo Sports

Chase Briscoe is nearing the Chase bubble as the No. 19 team for Joe Gibbs Racing begins to form consistency in 2026.

Chase Briscoe and the No. 19 team for Joe Gibbs Racing are starting to find some consistency. After three finishes of 36th place or worse, Briscoe has four straight finishes of 14th place or better.

In fact, the driver of the No. 19 car finished in fifth place at Bristol Motor Speedway, and his points situation is much improved. Briscoe sits 17th in the point standings with a one-point deficit to the Chase bubble.

Considering the struggles and equipment at Joe Gibbs Racing, this can be viewed both positively and negatively. Briscoe should be running better; however, the No. 19 car hasn't been very reliable or fast to start the 2026 NASCAR season.

Many expected Briscoe to be one of the breakout drivers in 2026, but it has been a grind through the first two months. There is plenty of time for the No. 19 team to find more speed, but it has to start with consistency.
