He may be retired but Adam Thielen is keeping tabs on the Vikings, including J.J. McCarthy.

The  Minnesota Vikings  are facing a pivotal point in their franchise history. They have pivotal decisions to make across the board, none bigger than what they do at quarterback. It is well past being established that J.

J. McCarthy struggled and they are now second-guessing letting Sam Darnold walk after his Super Bowl win. However, some folks are staying with McCarthy in terms of believing he can be the future of the franchise.

Recently retired Adam Thielen worked with McCarthy in the offseason, and of course, with the team when he played with them at the start of the season. He has firsthand experience of what he is capable of, and his words, which he shared recently on the Ross Tucker Podcast , paint a picture of hope for them. Thielen delivered his reason for hope in regard to McCarthy, stating, “He’ll be the first one to tell you there’s things he’s gotta work on… For me I just love his attitude, his mindset.

I always look for a guy saying, ‘Does he have that dog in him? ’ Can he just go out there with a switch to be a different person and compete at the highest level, and he’s got that. ” The team, of course, has signed Kyler Murray to complicate things for McCarthy.
