Who did the Bucs land in Dane Brugler's final 2026 NFL Mock Draft?
The Bucs get some help on offense in Dane Brugler's final mock draft of the cycle.
The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh in one week's time, a city where the Bucs could select the next star they add to their roster in hopes of righting the proverbial ship. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft. Thankfully, we now have some added context for players now that the scouting combine has come and gone.
The Athletic's Dan Brugler recently released the latest 2026 NFL mock draft of the cycle, which has the team going in the offensive direction. He projects them landing guard Vega Ioane out of Penn State. This is a pick we have started to see a bit more of over the last week, as it becomes clear the team may not be able to land a player to clear the needs they have.
Brugler explains the Ioane pick, writing, "Edge rusher and linebacker are arguably Tampa Bay’s top two areas of need, but do the Bucs see any prospect — at either position — worthy of this spot? They are in a position to go best player available here, which might be Ioane, who would provide an immediate upgrade at left guard. " The mock draft goes beyond round one, though, and goes throughout the whole process.
The rest of the Bucs picks include: Round 2: Gabe Jacas, Edge, Illinois Round 3: Keyshaun Elliott, LB, Arizona State Round 4: Devin Moore, CB, Florida Round 5: Reggie Virgil, WR, Texas Tech Round 6: Eli Heidenreich, RB, Navy Round 7: Tanner Koziol, TE, Houston The Bucs address some major needs in the mock, with some fun, dynamic picks mixed in as well. The Jacas pick specifically is a fun one in round two, as he projects to be someone in a similar light to Yaya Diaby, which would make them a good pairing.
