Yahoo Sports

19-year NBA veteran Al Horford came up big for the Warriors in Wednesday's win versus the Clippers, knocking down four three-pointers in the fourth.

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors pulled off a Play-In Tournament upset Wednesday night, defeating the Los Angeles Clippers by five points. Curry led the way with 35 points, 27 of which came in the second half. That said, it may have been Al Horford who was the most clutch performer.

After scoring two points in the first half, Horford went 4-for-4 from downtown in the fourth quarter, scoring 12 points in the final six minutes of play. Following the win, Curry spoke about Horford's willingness to win. "You can't teach that championship grit.

He's won everywhere he's been. Two championships in college, one with Boston," said Curry. Curry went on to praise his timely shooting, saying, "For him to take those shots with confidence, that means he's put the work in; that means he has belief in himself.

" Looking ahead, Curry, Horford and the Warriors will advance to another elimination game Friday against the Phoenix Suns. The winner will advance to the NBA Playoffs, facing the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round.
