Shea Langeliers hammers longest homer this season as Athletics get past Texas Rangers 6-5.

The Texas Rangers were looking to get a big win on Wednesday night against the Athletics. It didn't turn out that way, though, as Shea Langeliers and Jacob Wilson smashed homers in the Athletics ' 6-5 win at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, Calif. Tyler Soderstrom hit a two-out double to left in the bottom of the first inning, driving in Carlos Cortes for a 1-0 lead.

Then, in the bottom of the second, Denzel Clarke's RBI single to left brought home Max Muncy for a 2-0 edge for the Athletics. Rangers starting pitcher Kumar Rocker was decent, but not great, for manager Skip Schumaker. He went 4 2/3 innings, allowing four hits, two runs (both earned), walked four, and struck out six.

But Texas rallied in the top of the third as Corey Seager smoked a two-run home run with one out, bringing Brandon Nimmo home and locking things up at 2-2. Langaliers stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the sixth. He took a pitch and drove it 467 feet into the night, making that bomb the longest home run in Major League Baseball this season.

Lawrence Butler scored ahead of Langaliers, giving the Athletics a 4-2 lead. Wilson socked a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh for the Athletics, bringing home Tyler Soderstrom as well. The Athletics went up 6-2 at that point.
