They're doing that in a pretty painful way so far in the early going of the 2026 MLB season. They've already had four different hitters with streaks of at least 0-for-17 in a row. Two of the streaks are active: Mark Vientos is 0 for his last 23.

Brett Baty is 0 for his last 17. Earlier this season, rookie Carson Benge had an 0-for-24 stretch. Marcus Semien also had an 0-for-20 streak earlier in the campaign.
