WACO, Texas ( FOX 44 ) — The final two student-athletes from La Vega High School in the 2025-26 athletic season put pen to paper to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level on Wednesday morning. Two-time state champion Ce’Maria Kelly is heading to Blinn to continue her basketball career with the Lady Bucs. “I’m definitely going to miss all the games.
All the games we had in [the La Vega] gym, all the hard times I had with my teammates, the memories and families,” Kelly said. “I am happy to have a new start. ” La Vega girls soccer standout Hannah Linstrom also signed to continue her athletic career, heading to Hardin-Simmons to play for the women’s soccer team.
“I just fell in love with [soccer] again,” Linstrom said. “This year, after having just hte season with these girls, with all these girls is so amazing. So, I’m so thankful.
