Houston Rockets jersey history No. 12 - EC Coleman (1973-74)
The Houston Rockets have had players donning a total of 52 different jersey numbers (and have one not part of any numerical series for Houston assistant coach and general manager Carroll Dawson) since their founding at the start of the 1967-68 season, worn by just under 500 players in the course of Rockets history. And for today's article, we will continue with the third of 16 who wore the No. 12, forward alum E. C.
Coleman. After ending his college career at Houston Baptist University, Coleman was picked up with the 51st overall selection of the 1973 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets. The Flora, Mississippi native played the first (1973-74) and last (1978-79) seasons of his NBA career with Houston, with stops at the (then) New Orleans (now, Utah) Jazz and Golden State Warriors in between.
During his time suiting up for the Rockets, Coleman wore only jersey No. 12 and put up 4. 9 points, 4.
