Nate Diaz and Mike Perry kept things chill for their first faceoff

Nate Diaz and Mike Perry have finally come face-to-face. On May 16, Most Valuable Promotions hosts its first MMA event, broadcast live on Netflix, headlined by a womenโ€™s featherweight fight between MMA pioneers Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano. The matchup was announced earlier this year, with an initial press conference in March featuring both women and the co-main event between Francis Ngannou and Philipe Lins.

Since then, the MVP MMA card added another massive bout, with โ€œBMFโ€ originator Nate Diaz taking on the face of BKFC, Mike Perry, and a press conference on Wednesday, Diaz and Perry came face-to-face for the first time. While both Diaz and Perry are known for their pre-fight antics, neither brought that sort of energy to the press conference, with both men speaking respectfully of each other and sharing a courteous face-off when they came eye-to-eye for the first time. Rousey and Carano were, of course, also in attendance for the press conference on Wednesday, continuing their build of the fight in which neither has a bad thing to say about the other, and they, too, shared a respectful face-off again.

Rousey vs. Carano takes place on May 16 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.
