Frankfort rallies to beat Petersburg; Lighthouse wins, Calvary falls

5 Frankfort rallied with a five-run fifth to complete an 8-4 comeback win at Petersburg on Tuesday. Gunnar Bradshaw hit a sacrifice fly to even the score in the top of the fifth. Bradshaw finished 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a stolen base.

With two outs, Carson Durst singled to right for the go-ahead run. Carder Shanholtz walked, then Durst scored on an error. Lanson Orndorf (Charleston commit) earned a free pass, setting up Blake Jacobs (Charleston) for a two-run single that put the Falcons (6-5) ahead 8-4.

Jacobs finished 3 for 5 with three RBIs and two stolen bases. Orndorf went 2 for 3 with an RBI and two walks. The Vikings (3-8) scored two runs in the third and fourth innings.

Kaleb Kuhn single and a sacrifice fly scored in the third while a pair of walks scored runs in the fourth. Jaxon Hare earned the win with four shutout frames, only allowing two walks with seven strikeouts. Owen Reel was charged with the loss, allowing eight runs (two earned) on eight hits and five walks with three punchouts.
