4-star OT Cameron Wagner names Oregon a finalist, sets official visit
The Ducks are finalists for four-star offensive lineman Cameron Wagner and set a summer visit, continuing their recent recruiting success.
The Oregon Ducks have been red-hot on the recruiting trail lately. The Ducks have already secured three commitments this month on the defensive side of the ball. While much of the attention around Oregon recruiting will now shift to the impending decision from five-star quarterback Will Mencl , the Ducks are still looking to beef up their offensive line class.
Offensive tackle Cameron Wagner, a consensus four-star recruit, listed the Ducks among his four finalists, according to Rivals' Allen Trieu. Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and his hometown team, Illinois, are the other finalists. Wagner, a 6-foot-6, 305-pound tackle, has visited the Ducks several times, including twice this year, and has now scheduled his official visit for June 12-14.
Amongst his finalists, Oregon will be the third official visit. He will visit Notre Dame last, and the Irish are the presumed favorites in his recruitment. The Ducks could surely use Wagner in their class.
The No. 21 offensive tackle nationally could help the Ducks replace the loss of Drew Fielder , who flipped to USC last month. The Ducks are also trying to hold on to three-star tackle Avery Michael , who was just on campus but also recently took a visit to Nebraska.
