Kentucky transfer portal Rob Wright III makes his decision
The Kentucky Wildcats targeted transfer portal guard Rob Wright, and had him in for a visit, but did he choose the Wildcats?
The Kentucky Wildcats brought transfer portal guard Rob Wright III in for a visit on Monday, hoping to lure him to Lexington. Coach Mark Pope continues to look for recruiting wins, and Wright would have certainly been one. He was favored to land with the Cats at one point, but after the visit, momentum shifted back to a BYU return, and on Wednesday, he announced his decision and broke the hearts of Big Blue Nation once again.
Wright announced that he would be returning to BYU, a decision sure to heighten the pressure on Pope, who is struggling to close on top players. Kentucky fans are increasingly growing frustrated with the lack of commitments not just in the transfer portal, but in all forms. Rob Wright III is turning down Kentucky to return to BYU, according to @JoeTipton .
The news comes on the heels of Wright's visit to Lexington. Kentucky is expected to pivot back to Zoom Diallo. https://t.
