Cam Coleman speaks to media for first time since transferring to Texas
The biggest ever transfer portal signing by the Texas Longhorns spoke with the media for the first time today after spring practice.
Cam Coleman was the crown jewel in this year's NCAA Transfer Portal. The wide receiver from Auburn picked Texas over Texas A&M and Alabama. For the first time since signing with Longhorns football in January, the big playmaker addressed the media.
Coleman has been the Tigers primary offensive threat for two season, accumulating 93 receptions, 1,306 yards, 13 touchdowns and 14 yards per catch. In 2025, Coleman had 56 grabs for 708 yards, five touchdowns and averaged 12. 6 yards per catch.
Coleman answered a wide range of questions on Wednesday after Texas practice. First, he was asked why he picked Texas over the Aggies and the Tide in the first place. "Just a lot of prayer," Coleman said.
"A lot of thought. A lot of time with my family. And really just find the best opportunity for me.
