Report: 49ers meeting with versatile 2026 LB prospect
Kendal Daniels played safety for three college seasons before converting to linebacker.
The San Francisco 49ers should be wrapping up their pre-draft visits soon for the 2026 class and have recently met with Oklahoma linebacker Kendal Daniels, per KPRC2's Aaron Wilson . Daniels converted to linebacker after three seasons playing safety at Oklahoma State. In his first season as a linebacker, Daniels finished 2025 with 53 combined tackles, nine tackles for a loss and one pass defensed.
In his previous season, the 23-year-old tallied 240 combined tackles, 22. 5 tackles for a loss, 7. 5 sacks and five interceptions.
At 6-foot-5 and 242 pounds, Daniels is an intriguing hybrid prospect who could serve a specific role in Raheem Morris' defense if he develops nicely. He's considered a Day 3 player, so the 49ers would either need to use one of their fourth-round picks on him or trade back into one of the later rounds if they think he's a good fit for their team.
