On Tuesday night, the Yankees announced that they had optioned right-handed reliever Yerry De Los Santos back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He threw 44 pitches in last night's game against the Los Angeles Angels , allowing one run on three hits, including a solo home run to Yoan Moncada in the eighth inning.

De Los Santos was promoted on Monday after the Yankees optioned Jake Bird . It's now expected that the AL East club will call up an arm for Wednesday's matchup, the third game of a four-game series against the Angels.
