A UFC championship event is returning to Philadelphia this summer for the first time since 2011. Governor Josh Shapiro appeared on the Pat McAfee Show on ESPN on Tuesday to announce the octagon will be in South Philadelphia. UFC 330 will take place at Xfinity Mobile Arena on August 15, adding to the long list of major sporting events coming to the city this summer.
UFC President and CEO Dana White says it is the perfect time for the return of UFC to the city. He added that Philadelphia has always been a great fight town. The fighters have not been announced.
