New Dolphins LBs relationship goes beyond just being teammates
Two former Michigan linebackers are now teammates again with the Miami Dolphins, and one of them detailed the extent of their relationship.
The Miami Dolphins brought in several free agents on the defensive side of the ball this offseason, including a pair of linebackers with some history. David Ojabo and Joshua Uche both played their college ball at Michigan, crossing paths for one season in 2019 before the New England Patriots took Uche in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft. While Uche has bounced around between three teams in the last two seasons, Ojabo, who the Baltimore Ravens took in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft, stayed with just one franchise.
Now, they're both in South Florida, and during his first media availability since joining the Dolphins , Ojabo shared gave some insight into his relationship with Uche. "Yeah, that's my brother, man. It's almost like my big bro," Ojabo said.
"I showed him a photo, actually [from] when I was in high school, visiting Michigan, and he just finished a practice, and it was me and my mom. My mom looked at him and was like, 'Take care of my son. Be his big bro.
He's going to be looking up to you. ' He said he got me. Ever since then, honestly, he's been looking out.
