Expect FSU to face the Tar Heels on Friday in Game One of the series.

Where FSU softball finds itself in the latest Softball America bracketology, facing a potential regional elimination for the first time since 2013. The Seminoles have hosted an NCAA Regional for 11 straight years, advancing to the Super Regional round 10 times. However, their recent performance is not up to par: FSU now has a RPI of 16 and only seven top-50 wins.

Despite a strong record of 36-7 overall and 12-3 in ACC play, their lack of quality wins leaves them at the bottom of Softball America's projections. The new host for this yearโ€™s College Station Regional is No. 14-seeded Texas A&M Aggies, while Tennessee Volunteers will take over the Knoxville Regional.

FSU hosts the Tar Heels on Friday night in Game One of the series, with a scheduled first pitch time of 6 p. m. ET and stream on ACC Network Extra.
