Alexander Volkanovski claimed the vacant featherweight title last year at the Kaseya Center, defeating Diego Lopes in front of a lively crowd. This past weekend, Carlos Ulberg added to that success, stopping Jiri Prochazka in the same venue to bring another belt back to Australasia.

Carlos Ulberg’s ACL Injury: Alexander Volkanovski Expects Six-Month Recovery Photo by Ed Mulholland/Zuffa LLC On Monday, Carlos Ulberg gave an update on his injury, mentioning that he’s heading to Las Vegas later this week for scans to figure out what’s going on. Featherweight champion and fellow City Kickboxing teammate Alexander Volkanovski is confident he already knows the answer just by watching the footage.

I’ll be very surprised if it’s not ACL. “Maybe there’s other stuff as well because he had to keep fighting while the leg has given out. That’s the thing, it’s going to need surgery.
