Florida's Liv McGill moves to Oklahoma state via transfer portal

After just over a week in the NCAA transfer portal, former Florida Gators star Liv McGill is now an Oklahoma State Cowboy.

Former Florida Gators women's basketball star Liv McGill has found a new home through the NCAA transfer portal, landing with the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Tuesday. It took just over a week for her to choose her new school. The 5-foot-9-inch native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, was among the top scorers in the nation this past season, averaging 22.

5 points per game along with 6. 1 rebounds, 6. 3 assists and 2.

6 steals while appearing in 31 of the team's 33 total games — all starts. The McDonald's All-American arrived on campus as the top recruit to ever commit to the Orange and Blue, and was the team's offensive captain during her two-year tenure. McGill opened up the 2025-26 campaign with a combined 64 points, 17 rebounds, 19 assists and 12 steals over the first two games, making her the the first NBA, WNBA or Division I men's or women's player this century to have 60/15/15/10 in those categories over a two-game span since Dwyane Wade acheived the feat in 2009, according to OptaStats.

She eventually earned an All-American honorable mention and a spot on the First Team All-SEC Team, along with numerous other accolades. McGill was the first Gator in program history to be named the USBWA National Player of the Week on Nov. 11, 2025 — as well as SEC Player of the Week — after averaging 27.
