And the 2026 ranking features two Brazilians prominently: Alisson, of Liverpool, making the podium, and Ederson, of Fenerbahçe, rounding out the list. Top of the list is Thibaut Courtois, of Real Madrid, followed by Gianluigi Donnarumma, of PSG. Brazil’s main representative, Alisson secured third place.
According to the site, the Liverpool goalkeeper is only not at the top of the ranking because of the physical problems he faced throughout this season. The Athletic praised his technical consistency and his flawless performance in one-on-one situations, stating that, without the injuries, he would have a strong case for being number one. Another Brazilian to appear in the select group is Ederson, who comes in 15th place.
